Why are we here…well quite simply to serve our ummah and help them find a life of happiness with a spouse who has an outlook on life that matches their own. Those of us who have tried to find a spouse know it’s not easy by any means. Can a website find your perfect match…well honestly…no…but it can help get you part of the way there.

Our goal is to help give you a picture of what the person you are reading about is like at a very very high level. We do this by requiring that all our users respond to a set of questions covering what they are looking for to what they believe. Some examples of the types of questions we ask are:

• What do you believe are the responsibilities of a wife in a marriage?
• What do you believe are the responsibilities of a husband in a marriage?
• What are the 5 main objectives you wish to reach in your life? (list in priority)
• In a day, which of the daily prayers do you tend to perform regularly?
• Describe a situation in which you had an argument with a family member and how you resolved the argument?

By no means can a survey give you a complete picture of what a brother or sister is all about because anyone can portray themselves to be whatever they want on the internet. However, it can help you see if there is are similarities between you. This website can never replace face to face interactions between people. If you have the opportunity to meet people locally we would encourage you to do so. However, if you don’t live in a place where there are any Muslims or if you haven’t been able to find someone locally then we can provide you with a starting point for meeting people within the greater Ummah.

We are also building the resources section of our website. We hope to provide everyone (members and non-members) a wide range of information on marriage and what it takes to make yours successful insha’Allah. Our blog will act as an area of discussion for everyone (members and non-members) and will cover topics challenging our understanding of what marriage is and cultural perspectives on marriage.

Our website is free to use. There is some advertising within the website. The revenue from the advertising helps us pay for the cost of running the website. We hope to donate some of the money we receive from the advertising to charity and will consult our members to see who they feel we should make the donations for a given quarter to insha’Allah.

Ultimately, we have created this website to earn the pleasure of Allah (subhanhu wa ta’ala) and we hope the you keep us in your prayers.
